Rebuilding From a Loss

We all have been through losses in one form or another some big some small, whether its from divorce or death from a loved one or even loss of income and anything that comes from that loss. In such losses in our lives we become broken and tend to lose hope in life and even in ourselves. We become so depressed and check out mentally because we feel so worthless to the people around us. These losses takes a piece of our heart every time something happens. That love or a piece of us we had is gone and we don’t have the strength or know what to do so we lose ourselves in the negative aspects of these losses We turn to drugs alcohol, or things that don’t benefit our growth and bring us down. We search for something to fill that hole in our heart and still find nothing. This devastation can be so severe not to only us but to the loved ones around us. There is a solution to all of this though It is building a relationship with God. There is so much proof around us that he is the only one who can fill our hearts beyond full and we get so much more from him then anything can offer. “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18 (NLT) He gave is only begotten son so that we can live without worries and stress in our life. All we have to do is have faith and give him all of our baggage to release ourselves from the prison of sin. ” He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world”. 1 John 2:2 (NLT)
Dear Lord,
Please help me in this time of loss and grief. I don’t understand why my life is filled with this pain and heartache. But I turn my eyes to you as I seek to find the strength to trust in your faithfulness. I will wait on you and not despair; I will quietly wait for your salvation. My heart is crushed, but I know that you will not abandon me forever. Please show me your compassion, Lord. Help me through the pain so that I will hope in you again. I believe this promise in your Word to send me fresh mercy each day. Though I can’t see past today, I trust your great love will never fail me.
